United Way of Southern Nevada’s Community Impact Grant Program invests in local nonprofit organizations working to improve lives across our region.

What We Do

United Way of Southern Nevada invests in programs that address critical community needs in Clark, Nye, Esmeralda, and Lincoln counties. Funding is available to eligible organizations seeking to start, expand, or sustain programs that deliver measurable outcomes and meaningful community impact.

Eligible Uses of Funding
Organizations are encouraged to request funds for all aspects of a program, including:

  • Direct assistance
  • Staff required to operate the program
  • Administrative costs necessary to support program operations

By investing in effective, community-driven programs, the Community Impact Grant Program helps nonprofit organizations create lasting, positive change throughout Southern Nevada.

Meet Our 2025-2026 Proud Partners

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada is committed to helping youth reach their full potential through one-on-one mentoring relationships. Through their BIG Pahrump Project, they support students in rural Nye County with weekly after-school mentorship at the Pahrump Community Center. Program activities include goal setting, academic support, and social-emotional skill building with trained adult volunteers. The goal of the organization is to provide consistent, positive role models who help youth succeed in school and life.

Children’s Advocacy Center is an organization that supports families impacted by child sexual abuse, exploitation, and severe neglect. Through its Community Closet & Food Pantry program, they offer services and program activities including food, hygiene supplies, clothing, and comfort kits to low-income, single-parent households in crisis. The goal is to reduce poverty-related stressors and foster healing, safety, and resilience for vulnerable children and families across Clark County.

Dress for Success of Southern Nevada is an organization that provides professional attire, career development tools and support to women experiencing unemployment and underemployment in the Las Vegas valley. Through their Suiting Program and Career Development Program, they offer services and program activities including professional attire and career development tools. The goal of DFSSN is to ultimately help their program participants gain employment in Southern Nevada.

Eye Care 4 Kids supports children in need with essential eye care during the academic year in Southern Nevada. Through their Sight 4 Success Program, they strive to make professional vision care accessible to underserved students in the Clark County School District. Their goal is to deliver primary services and program activities through the Mobile Vision Clinic by providing comprehensive eye exams, and prescription eyeglasses.

Foster Kinship is dedicated to helping families in need meet their financial and legal goals in the community. Through their Kinship Navigator Program, they aim to provide wrap-around services for lower-income kinship families such as food, clothing, childcare and housing assistance, toiletries, as well as financial assistance. Their goals include assisting their participants in meeting financial goals as well as obtaining legal goals in relation to child wellness.

Fulfillment Fund of Las Vegas is dedicated to inspiring first-generation students and removing barriers to post-secondary access and post-secondary graduation. Through their Fulfillment Fundamentals Program, they aim to leverage student achievement through school partnerships and community outreach-centered post-secondary access programming. Program activities include college-access curriculum lessons, post-secondary education workshops, and community outreach events to help students and their families get to post-secondary education.

Future Smiles strives to increase access to oral health care for underserved populations. Through the Future Smiles traveling dental program, dental hygienists and assistants with portable dental units provide dental hygiene education, oral health supplies, dental sealants, enamel repair, fluoride varnish applications, and referrals for students in Title 1 CCSD and charter schools, Pre-K centers, and community centers in Clark County. By providing routine access to dental health education, Future Smiles intends to improve children’s understanding of dental health, decrease dental pain and urgent care visits to address dental related issues, and increase children’s quality of life.

Kline Veterans Fund is an organization dedicated to supporting veterans in the Southern Nevada community. Through the implementation of their Homes for the Brave program, they aim to support the housing and rapid rehousing of military veterans with a priority for disabled and/or chronically ill, senior citizens, single parents, and families with children. Their goals are to offer program services such as immediate, low-barrier aid for security deposits and eviction prevention to place or keep families in their homes.

The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada supports and empowers LGBTQ+ individuals through its Diversity and Inclusion Program, with a focus on transgender, BIPOC, and Spanish-speaking community members. The Center will expand its bilingual workforce readiness services, legal advocacy, and peer-facilitated support groups. Program activities include career coaching, resume development, financial literacy workshops, and name and gender marker legal clinics. The goal is to reduce economic insecurity and strengthen the emotional, legal, and social well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals facing systemic barriers.

Helping Hands of Vegas Valley supports seniors and their families to improve their quality of life to maintain their dignity and independence. The Bus and Volunteer Transportation Program offers free transportation to seniors aged 60 and older who live in Las Vegas or North Las Vegas and have low to moderate incomes. Rides are available to the grocery store, healthcare appointments, pharmacies, social outings, and other social service agencies.

HopeLink of Southern Nevada is dedicated to supporting families through employment resources in Southern Nevada. Through their CareerLink program, they provide aid to clients in supportive housing programs to attain financial stability. Primary program activities include job readiness activities, mentoring, connections to hiring managers, and support from community organizations. The goal of this organization is to assist families gain employment within the community.

Jobs For Nevada Graduates is dedicated to supporting students at risk of not graduating at Chaparral High School located in east Las Vegas. Through their Multi-Year Graduation & Workforce Development Program, JAG Nevada provides one-on-one support to students facing significant barriers to graduation and entry into career pathways, helping change the trajectory of their participants.

Lincoln Community Coalition is dedicated to supporting literacy advancement for children and youth across rural Lincoln County through their Lincoln County Literacy Enrichment Program. This initiative expands Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for children under 5 and introduces new book distribution and enrichment opportunities for youth ages 5-18. Program services and activities include monthly book gifting, library support, and the distribution of inclusive educational materials to families. The goal is to raise county-wide literacy proficiency and promote lifelong learning for underserved children and families.

Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program is dedicated to supporting the elderly and other citizens in need of assistance in Esmeralda, Lincoln, and Nye Counties in Nevada. Through their Nevada Rural Counties Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), they aim to provide seniors services like transportation, homemaker and respite care services, companionship and resource navigation. They also coordinate additional in-home assistance and social interactions which improves quality of life for seniors in our rural counties.

Spread the Word Nevada is dedicated to supporting childhood literacy in elementary students in low-income communities in Southern Nevada. Through the Books & Buddies Mentor Centers, the program serves children from kindergarten through 5th grade with in-school mentorship that bridges school and family support. This approach bolsters literacy growth through programming that develops reading proficiency, comprehension, and verbal recitation skills.

UNSHAKEABLE is an organization dedicated to supporting women with workforce development and employment opportunities in the community. Through their Empower to Employ program, they provide career coaching to women struggling to reclaim their future from their past trauma of homelessness, substance addiction, domestic violence, and human trafficking. They aim to provide personal and professional development and potential employment in a social enterprise operated by UNSHAKEABLE.

YMCA of Southern Nevada is an organization dedicated to providing quality education to community youth. Through their Y Scholars Academy, an evidence-based academic intervention program, they provide academic enrichment and education to students in need throughout Clark County. Their goal through program activities includes academic instruction and support during the summer months.
