INTERPRETATION AND TRANSLATION SERVICES FOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

UWSN is proud to offer Interpretation and Translation Services to Nonprofit Organizations and Government Agencies at no cost. This service is made possible thanks to UWSN’s Language Access Project funded by a Congressional Appropriation championed by Congresswoman Dina Titus.  Translation and interpretation services are provided by Propio, a language service provider with over 25 years of experience.

Eligibility If you are a nonprofit (501c3) organization or a local government agency, UWSN is offering access to an interpretation and translation line at no cost to you. This is a first come first serve opportunity that will close when the funds are expire.

CREATE OR IMPROVE YOUR LANGUAGE ACCESS PLAN

UWSN is proud to offer information and resources for local organizations to create or improve their Language Access Plan and become a more inclusive organization for Limited-English Proficient Nevadans and our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Communities.

The workshops will each last for one hour. Below, you will find the topics, along with the dates, times, and Zoom links for each session. The purpose of these workshops is to assist you in creating a language access plan and guide you throughout the entire project duration. They aim to empower staff, enhance client satisfaction through effective communication and inclusivity, and focus on optimizing data collection for Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients as well as developing culturally responsive methods. Additionally, the sessions emphasize breaking language barriers, enhancing language access, and monitoring and evaluating language access initiatives to ensure their effectiveness and impact.
