Created in 1984, Tocqueville Society members are philanthropists demonstrating extraordinary generosity by contributing $10,000 or more annually to United Way of Southern Nevada. These individuals and couples make an outstanding commitment to improving the quality of life in our community. Members are recognized both locally and nationally for their dedication and for inspiring others to become philanthropic leaders in our community.
Last year alone, nearly 27,000 Tocqueville members from across the country contributed $556M to their respective United Way organizations. Since 1990, Tocqueville donors have donated $7.7B to United Way, making a lasting impact in the communities in which they live.
In a time when the need is so great, the leaders among us rise with a renewed willingness to tackle the biggest challenges—they are United Way’s Tocqueville Society members, the cornerstone of United Way.
