Volunteers Showed Their Caring Spirit During UWSN’s Day Of Caring, Friday, October 2

Over 450 volunteers gave back to the community on one day of volunteering

United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) celebrated a successful Day of Caring event this past Friday, October 2, 2020. Volunteers jumpstarted the day with an energizing virtual kickoff and gave back to local nonprofits to positively impact their community. UWSN was able to gather over 450 volunteers and complete 34 projects at 22 nonprofit agencies across Southern Nevada.

Thank you to UWSN’s generous Day of Caring sponsors NV Energy, KTNV 13 Action News, JPMorgan Chase, Whiting-Turner Construction Company, Las Vegas Review-Journal, The Korte Company, and Simmons Group. These volunteers helped complete projects to better the community and give back to those in need. These projects could not have been done without the support of these volunteers and sponsors.

During this challenging time, Southern Nevada’s nonprofits have supported hundreds of thousands of people in need throughout the valley. UWSN is proud to unite volunteers who help ensure that we can continue to provide support to our nonprofit partners now and in the future. Individuals can find more ways to give back through UWSN Volunteer Connect at volunteer.uwsn.org.

United Way of Southern Nevada is grateful for all volunteers and sponsors who made this day record-breaking. Together, we can help Southern Nevada thrive. Please give today at uwsn.org/give.
