We’re thrilled to spotlight our volunteer of the month, Kathy Yanke! Kathy’s journey of volunteering began with a desire to honor her late mother’s legacy of kindness and service. From her early days participating in the Jerry Lewis telethon to her current endeavors, Kathy has always embodied the spirit of giving back to her community.
Kathy’s commitment to supporting our community through volunteering is nothing short of remarkable. With over 20 hours dedicated each week, she has left an indelible mark on various organizations, including Goodie Two Shoes, the Animal Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity. Her involvement spans a variety of causes, from education and youth empowerment to homelessness and healthcare. Through her unwavering dedication, Kathy has touched countless lives and helped foster positive change throughout Southern Nevada.
“I LOVE the United Way and the impact they make! Whenever I have someone ask me how to find places to volunteer, I will give them United Way of Southern Nevada’s Volunteer Connect!” Kathy shared. We are immensely grateful for her passion for making our Southern Nevada community a better place.
