United Way of Southern Nevada is proud to recognize Michelle Curci as our September Volunteer of the Month, powered by NV Energy.
This season, Michelle gave her time at multiple events that reach Southern Nevadans at different stages of life. She helped at our Operation Back to School Volunteer Event, which supports students as they start the school year; the Project REACH Senior Expos, which connect older adults with resources and support; and Day of Caring, Southern Nevada’s largest single day of volunteerism. Her willingness to show up for neighbors of all ages is a great example of how volunteers turn their time into community impact.
For Michelle, volunteering comes down to a simple belief. “I believe that helping others is simply the right thing to do!” she shared.
Her favorite part of volunteering is the sense of connection. “Volunteering allows me to feel connected. Being involved with UWSN is amazing! The staff and volunteers combine forces to achieve lasting change.”
