This month, we are proud to celebrate Michelle Curci as our Volunteer of the Month, sponsored by NV Energy! Michelle’s passion for service and her commitment to strengthening our community exemplify the spirit of giving back.
For Michelle, volunteering is more than an opportunity to lend a helping hand—it’s a way to connect with others and create meaningful change. “Volunteering allows me to contribute to others, which makes a positive impact in our community. I believe volunteering brings people from all walks of life together to work towards a common goal,” she shares.
Michelle’s dedication shines during UWSN’s Day of Caring, where she values the chance to collaborate with others who share her passion. “Every one of the team members has such passion for and dedication to the organization’s mission. The impact UWSN is making in our community is so valuable and meaningful. It is such a pleasure to be able to volunteer during Day of Caring for such a wonderful organization.”
Her commitment extends beyond Day of Caring, especially during the holiday season. Michelle embraces the spirit of giving by supporting local nonprofits through activities like gift wrapping at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, donating holiday presents for local students, and participating in the Santa Run. “It is a family tradition that we support Opportunity Village through going to the Magical Forest each year,” she adds.
Through volunteering, Michelle has found not only a way to give back but also a sense of fulfillment. “Volunteering has improved my life by allowing me to do good for others and our community. It allows me to step out of my comfort zone and learn new things. Volunteering gives me a sense of pride and just makes me feel good!”
We are grateful to Michelle for her dedication to making Southern Nevada a better place. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, visit uwsn.org/volunteer.
