United Way of Southern Nevada is proud to recognize Mary McClellan as our August Volunteer of the Month, powered by NV Energy. 

A member of the Ameriprise Financial Las Vegas team, Mary helped UWSN coordinate and set up a kit build at her workplace, helping make the event a success. Her dedication to service is a great example of how volunteers can bring people together and turn their time and talents into meaningful community impact. 

For Mary, volunteering is an opportunity to give back and support for the causes of that matter. 

“Volunteering is important to me because it gives me the opportunity to make a positive impact in my community and support causes that matter,” Mary shared. “I believe that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.” 

Mary is also inspired by the people and organizations that dedicate their time to helping others. Seeing the impact of volunteer efforts on individuals, families, and communities motivates her to get involved and connect with others who share a commitment to service. 

Her favorite part of volunteering? Knowing that her time and effort can help someone else. 

“There is a great sense of fulfillment that comes from contributing to a cause and helping create positive outcomes for others,” she said.
