Volunteer of the Month Spotlight | Alexa Diciero

🌟 Volunteer of the Month Spotlight: Celebrating Alexa Diciero 🌟

As we continue to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of our dedicated volunteers, it is with great excitement that we introduce you to our August Volunteer of the Month: Alexa Diciero! Alexa’s unwavering commitment to community service, along with her dedication to creating a meaningful and lasting positive impact, has truly elevated her as an exceptional role model among the next generation of volunteers in our community.

What inspired you to volunteer, Alexa?

I’m inspired to volunteer for my love of helping others and doing something bigger for my community. For my sorority, we complete 10 hours of service a semester, so I decided to get some of it done while I’m home for the summer!

How have you contributed through UWSN and Salvation Army?

By volunteering with UWSN and Salvation Army, I’m supporting my community in so many ways. Helping kids who need school supplies and distributing food to those in need has such a big impact on our local families.

Why did you choose to sign up for UWSN’s Volunteer Connect platform?

I chose to volunteer through UWSN’s Volunteer Connect platform because it’s an amazing organization that supports an incredible cause. Volunteering at the food pantry and backpack stuffing may seem like a big task; however, the gratification that is achieved after seeing a smile on someone’s face is a once in a lifetime feeling.

🌟 How has volunteering impacted your life?

Volunteering has improved my life by creating a sense of purpose and satisfaction by helping others. It reminds me to live a life of gratitude and appreciation!
