United Way Of Southern Nevada Celebrates 65 Years Of Serving The Southern Nevada Community

We’ve been doing this since 1957…

LAS VEGAS – United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is proud to announce 65 years of serving the Southern Nevada community in 2022. Since UWSN’s inception in 1957, the Las Vegas community has grown 97% to over 2 million Southern Nevadans, which the organization has been honored to unite and serve for the past six and a half decades.

From the organization’s humble beginnings as the United Fund of Clark County, with 55,000 served, UWSN and its network are now proud to serve 1 in 4 Southern Nevadans across the valley. During this community-wide 65th anniversary celebration, UWSN will reflect upon the incredible impact created in Southern Nevada and honor the local leaders who have carried the torch of the organization’s mission of uniting our community to improve people’s lives throughout the decades.

“We’ve been doing this since before what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” said UWSN President and CEO, Julian High. “This year, we will celebrate the community we have the privilege to serve and honor the legends who helped UWSN become the organization we are today.”

UWSN will host signature events throughout 2022 to engage and celebrate the people, organizations, and communities who call Southern Nevada home. This year, UWSN will host a 65th Anniversary Golf United Tournament at Revere Golf Club this spring and the community’s largest day of volunteering, Day of Caring, this fall.

The celebration will culminate in a spectacular 65th Anniversary Legends Ball which will engage local leaders and community members who have played an instrumental role in the transformation of the valley over the past 65 years. Southern Nevadans can learn more about these signature events and how they can join this community-wide celebration at uwsn.org/65.
