UWSN’s “Everyone Deserves Hope” campaign funds will help meet the growing needs for assistance in the community
LAS VEGAS – United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is proud to announce that $407,091 was raised through the “Everyone Deserves Hope” campaign to help Southern Nevadans stay in their homes, provide for their families, and assist students to graduate and succeed.
“We are honored and humbled by our community rallying together to provide incredible support to the ‘Everyone Deserves Hope’ campaign,” said Julian High, UWSN’s President and CEO. “This funding will have a tremendous impact in the lives of children, individuals, and families in Southern Nevada and help us expand our support of the nonprofit sector.”
The funds raised during the “Everyone Deserves Hope” campaign will support UWSN’s community impact grant program, which provides funding to local nonprofits in Southern Nevada. UWSN’s nonprofit partners help build pathways out of poverty by providing programs and services in the three key impact areas of student success, workforce development, and community supports.
To meet the growing needs of the Southern Nevada community, United Way has expanded its community impact grant program to include more than six times the number of nonprofit organizations than in previous years with a focus on diversity, equity, access, and inclusion. The Everyone Deserves Hope Campaign was possible thanks to local and national companies dedicated to giving the gift of hope to Southern Nevadans.
