United Way Of Southern Nevada Mobilizes Volunteers To Spread Hope For The Holidays

UWSN Challenges the Community to Be a Part of the Worldwide
Jerusalema Social Media Dance Challenge

LAS VEGAS – November 23, 2021– United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) invites the Southern Nevada community to spread hope through volunteering and participating in the worldwide Jerusalema Social Media Dance Challenge during this holiday season. As a part of UWSN’s community-wide initiative, Everyone Deserves Hope, the organization is providing a list of Holiday Volunteer opportunities to provide hope and help to our community.

Volunteers can make a difference this holiday season through both in-person and virtual activities. Many of UWSN’s nonprofit partners are seeking volunteers to support their holiday initiatives which help children and families in Southern Nevada. At UWSN’s nonprofit partners, volunteers can create holiday dinner boxes, distribute toys and gifts, collect warm clothing items, serve warm meals, and much more.

UWSN is encouraging community members and organizations to participate in the worldwide Jerusalema Dance Challenge for a chance to win Pinkbox Doughnuts for a year! The Jerusalema Dance Challenge phenomenon has gone viral with the goal of bringing diverse community members together in a dance that represents unity, peace, and hope during challenging times. UWSN is bringing this dance challenge to the Southern Nevada community to encourage unity and spread hope this holiday season. To view UWSN’s Jerusalema Dance Challenge video click here.

Organizations and volunteers can participate by posting their videos on social media with the hashtags #EveryoneDeservesHope and #JerusalemaChallenge and tag United Way of Southern Nevada, @UWSN. All participants will be entered for a chance to win Pinkbox Doughnuts for a year presented by the Everyone Deserves Hope Angel Hero Sponsor, The Siegel Group.

The Everyone Deserves Hope Campaign is possible thanks to local and national companies dedicated to giving the gift of hope to Southern Nevada. Leading the campaign is UWSN’s Presenting Sponsor, The Tapestry Foundation and Angel Hero sponsor The Siegel Group (through their charity, Siegel Cares), along with sponsors NV Energy, Barclays US Consumer Bank, Kichler, and Chalres Schwab.
