UNITED WAY OF SOUTHERN NEVADA LAUNCHES 2024 COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS

LAS VEGAS (Jan. 9, 2024)United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is kicking off the new year by opening applications for their annual Community Impact Grant program. The UWSN Community Impact Grant program focuses community funds on impactful charitable efforts in Southern Nevada. Those selected will receive both financial and organizational support while gaining community-wide recognition to expand their impact. Funding will be available to those offering evidence-based programs in three key areas:

  • Student Success: programs that provide opportunities for children and students from pre-school through high school and higher education.
  • Workforce Development: programs that help individuals enter or return to the workforce.
  • Community Support: programs that help people keep a roof over their head, food on the table, and ensure equitable access to healthcare, transportation, and crisis services.

Through this program, UWSN will distribute funds to various local nonprofits in the Southern Nevada community. UWSN identifies nonprofit programs that specifically help students reach their full potential, ensure there are pathways into the workforce, and maintain household stability.

Applications for the Community Impact Grant open on Jan. 9, 2024, and organizations will have the opportunity to apply by February 9, 2024, at 5 p.m. PST. Applications must be submitted at uwsn.org/funding.

Additionally, UWSN will host a kickoff information session on Jan. 17 at 3:30 PM at the United Way of Southern Nevada office, located at 5830 W. Flamingo Rd. To learn more about the UWSN Community Impact Grant program and to find additional information sessions, please visit uwsn.org/grant.
