United Way Of Southern Nevada Announces Community Impact Grants To Rebuild Southern Nevada

United Way will provide support to local agencies to rebuild and reimagine the future of our community

LAS VEGAS, NV – United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is providing funding to nonprofits that are helping rebuild Southern Nevada. UWSN is encouraging local nonprofits that serve children, families, and workers to apply for funding to support the recovery of the Southern Nevada community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are committed to helping students get back on track, parents get back to work and providing for families in need,” said Kyle B. Rahn, UWSN President, and CEO. “We encourage nonprofit organizations to apply for the 2021 UWSN Community Impact Grants and help Southern Nevada recover.”

Funding will be available to agencies offering evidence-based programs in three key areas:

  • Student Success, with a focus on early education, kindergarten through high school, and higher education
  • Workforce Development, with a focus on job training and workforce credentials
  • Community Supports, with a focus on access, equity, and inclusion

By mobilizing a team of engaged volunteers and donors, the community will select the nonprofits and coalitions with proven, bold, and innovative strategies that will impact community change. Those who are funded will receive both financial and organizational support and the opportunity to gain community-wide recognition to expand their impact.
