UNITED WAY OF SOUTHERN NEVADA ANNOUNCES 10TH ANNUAL DAY OF CARING, PRESENTED BY PNC BANK

LAS VEGAS (Aug. 4, 2025)United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) proudly announces its 10th Annual Day of Caring, presented by PNC Bank on Friday, September 19, 2025. As Southern Nevada’s largest day of volunteerism, this milestone event brings together hundreds of community members to make a real difference for students, families, seniors, and nonprofit organizations across the valley.

The day begins with an energizing Kickoff Celebration at Town Square Park at 8:30 a.m., where volunteers will enjoy a complimentary breakfast, engaging program, and chances to win fun prizes—before heading out to make a difference in over 40 service projects across the valley.

“For ten years, Day of Caring has reminded us what’s possible when we stand together,” said Samuel Rudd, President and CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada. “Volunteers, community partners, and generous sponsors come together each year to create lasting change for our neighbors. United is the way we strengthen Southern Nevada—one act of service at a time.”

Volunteer activities include assembling school supply kits, enhancing school gardens, preparing food donations, supporting basic needs services, and more—directly benefiting thousands of people throughout the region.

“As a long-time supporter and board member, I know first-hand the positive and powerful difference that United Way makes in our community. That’s why PNC is so proud to sponsor the Day of Caring,” said Denette Suddeth, PNC regional president for Nevada. “This event is a great way to get involved in helping to make Southern Nevada an even better place to live.”

United Way of Southern Nevada invites individuals, families, corporate teams, and community groups to take part in this impactful day. All are welcome, and no prior experience is needed.
