LAS VEGAS (April 16, 2024) – Nearly 500 guests gathered at Red Rock Resort Casino & Spa on Saturday, April 13 for the annual Fashion Show Luncheon hosted by United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women United. Themed “Women on the Move,” the event celebrated the strength, resilience, and achievements of remarkable women in the community.
“Women on the Move means acknowledging that women have a lot of power collectively and individually to be catalysts for tremendous change in the world,” stated Rev. Dr. Marta Poling Schmitt, UWSN Board Member and Women United Member.
Women United prides itself on igniting the power of women and have raised over $3.5 million dollars and have committed more than 8,200 volunteer hours over the past 17 years. Through their partnership with United Way of Southern Nevada, they provide vital support to local organizations. Proceeds from the Fashion Show Luncheon contribute to United Way of Southern Nevada’s mission to ensure the success of every individual in Southern Nevada.
Attendees enjoyed a special lunch and heard from various leaders in Southern Nevada, including Congresswoman Susie Lee, Assistant Sheriff Sasha Larkin, and trailblazing entrepreneur Sarah Bazey. The event also featured a sip and shop including local female-owned businesses and a silent auction with a range of items, from gift baskets to exclusive resort experiences. The afternoon was complete with a fashion show showcasing styles from designer Anne Fontaine.
