Let’s give a warm welcome to Cynthia Amaro, our Federal Grant Manager at United Way of Southern Nevada! In her role, Cynthia collaborates closely with our External Affairs and Community Impact teams to support federal grant development and compliance. She also provides support to our executive leadership and program teams, helping ensure our operations run smoothly and effectively to serve our community.
Cynthia’s journey with UWSN began as an administrative and grant consultant for the External Affairs team. Through that experience, she gained a deep appreciation for UWSN’s mission and the organization’s commitment to uplifting families across Southern Nevada. Inspired by this meaningful work, she decided to officially join the team to continue making an impact through her expertise in grants management.
When she’s not coordinating key projects or supporting UWSN’s initiatives, Cynthia enjoys spending time outdoors camping and hiking, as well as painting and relaxing with her wife and their two pups, known as The Boyz. For those visiting Las Vegas, Cynthia recommends exploring the city’s many hiking trails to experience the stunning desert scenery that makes Southern Nevada so special.
