When first entering the workforce, students tend to lack the skills and experience in workforce readiness, but not Tayana Gibbs. T.U.L.I.P.S. is able to offer workforce readiness and dress for success tools to help students learn how to complete job applications, resumes, and interviews made possible with the support of United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women United.
After attending the workshops Tayana felt CONFIDENT going out in the community and applying for jobs using all the skills she acquired through our partner, T.U.L.I.P.S. T.U.L.I.P.S. was able to provide Tayana with a bus pass and clothing for the interview. She quickly reached her goal and gained a part-time job position. Tayana is grateful for the training she received and is now able to help her family by purchasing things for herself, eliminating the feeling of not being able to have items that are meaningful to her.
