United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is proud to partner with Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada to help individuals, families, and children in our community receive the care they need to stay healthy. Ryan, a local patient, tried getting his COVID-19 vaccine as it was available so he could return to work and feel safe while doing so. After waiting in line at Thomas & Mack Center to get his vaccine for over 2 hours Ryan was still not able to receive his vaccine. With the help of UWSN, Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada were able to provide Ryan with his vaccine and he was scheduled at one of the first clinics! Soon after he was able to return to work part-time in the food/entertainment industry and now has peace of mind while doing so as he continues with his daily life.
