Juliette was 26 years old and previously homeless. After living at the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center, Juliette was determined to find a new path forward and decided to attend an “I Am” series event sponsored by UNSHAKEABLE. A funded community partner of United Way of Southern Nevada, UNSHAKEABLE guides women recovering from trauma in returning to the workforce and achieving financial independence. Juliette met with the UNSHAKEABLE team members and worked with a career coach to find employment. With help from UNSHAKEABLE and their partners at Opportunity Village, Juliette landed an interview, as well as picked out a brand-new pair of glasses for the occasion. She got the job on the spot that day. With funding from UWSN, UNSHAKEABLE will continue to serve women in recovery from homelessness, domestic violence, substance addiction, and human trafficking.
