David Garcia, CFP®, CPWA® is the Managing Director and Market Team Lead for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Nevada. He leads a team of integrated specialists to offer advice on the complexities of wealth. Collectively, they deliver the sophisticated guidance, thought leadership and world-class capabilities necessary to help his clients achieve their personal and financial goals.

In his multifaceted role, David offers institutional-quality service across a broad range of practice areas, including investments, lending, banking, and tax and estate planning. He provides direct access to J.P. Morgan’s resources for his clients. David leverages the richness of his experience to offer innovative strategies and customized approaches. Whether clients seek portfolio management, risk mitigation, executive services or pre-transaction planning, he brings a level of focus and intensity to ensure their needs are met.

With a career that spans almost 15 years, David has a diverse skill set that includes investment banking, commercial lending and M&A transactions. He also worked for two of the largest and most influential law firms in the United States before holding international roles with Credit Suisse and GE Capital. David joined the Private Bank in 2015 and played an essential part in establishing J.P. Morgan’s presence in Nevada.

David earned his JD and MBA from the University of Michigan, and his B.A. in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University, graduating with honors. David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional and holds a CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR certification. Showing early leadership potential, David took a break from his studies to head a team that microfinanced and organized a multi-resource center in Guatemala and was a volunteer in El Salvador for two years.

David and his wife live in Summerlin, where they are raising their four children. To challenge himself, he enjoys reading, mountaineering, and competing in triathlons. David volunteers his time by holding the position of treasurer for Three Square Food Bank and sits on the boards of The Smith Center, UNLV Foundation, and Lighthouse Charities. He is also a mentor with Hope For Prisoners.
