United Against Human Trafficking

To support local, state, national, and international efforts to combat human trafficking, the United Way Worldwide Center to Combat Human Trafficking and other funders have teamed up to advance anti-human trafficking efforts across the global United Way network.

United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is leading the work against human trafficking by expanding opportunities to volunteer and making funds available to organizations supporting victims and survivors of human trafficking in Nevada.

Together, we will work to end human trafficking in our community and help victims and survivors build a new path to a brighter future.

Taking Action on Human Trafficking

To make progress on reducing human trafficking, everyone in the community must be educated on how to support victims and survivors of human trafficking. Taxi drivers, bus drivers, bartenders, social workers, cashiers, gaming professionals, hospitality teams, mall employees, teachers, and other school staff all have a role to play in the fight against human trafficking.

However, it is important to support victims and survivors without directly intervening in cases of suspected human trafficking.

If you suspect a friend or community member might be a victim of trafficking, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888 or text BEFREE to 233-733.

Members of the public can also follow the Facebook page of the Southern Nevada Human Trafficking Task Force.
