Yes! Light breakfast will provided at the beginning of the summit from 9 – 9:30AM and lunch will be provided during our networking session.

During the summit, we will cover issues relating to how to maintain language access programs and services to Limited English Proficient Nevadans in the wake of federal policy changes. Participants will receive a guidebook to follow along with the resources, trainings, and breakout sessions we’ll host for the day. After the summit, a digital version of the guidebook will be available for download on this webpage.

As part of our $1 million appropriation from Congresswoman Dina Titus, we proudly to offered readily-available document translation and over-the-phone/live translation services to nonprofits and local governments. Unfortunately, this program sunsetted in 2025 and funding is no longer currently available. For more information, please visit our Language Access page.

Unfortunately, the summit will be an in-person event only, however we are more than happy to share all summit materials and notes with interested community members. Additionally, UWSN hosts our monthly Cross-Sector Language Access calls — which convenes local governments, nonprofits, and community members on a regular basis to share updates and language access resources. If you are interested in being added to those calls, please email Henry Rosas, External Affairs Manager, at henryr@uwsn.org
