OVERVIEW
Stay informed about the latest federal funding opportunities, legislative updates, and United Way of Southern Nevada’s (UWSN) efforts to advocate for policies that benefit our community. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient Southern Nevada—because United is the Way.
Southern Nevada is constantly evolving, and as our community’s needs shift, UWSN remains committed to securing and distributing critical resources that drive lasting change. Federal funding plays a vital role in strengthening our region by supporting essential programs that empower students, promote financial stability, and provide access to emergency services.
At UWSN, we serve as a convener and collaborator, uniting nonprofits, businesses, donors, and advocates to maximize the impact of federal investments in Southern Nevada. By leveraging these resources, we help ensure that individuals and families have the support they need to thrive.
To strengthen the nonprofit sector, the United Ways of Nevada and Nevada GrantLab have joined forces to mobilize the community through summits, sector-wide convenings, and statewide surveys. Together, we are introducing bipartisan legislation to create a more resilient sector—because nonprofits are a lifeline for many Nevada residents. Learn more about our efforts in our presentation to the Senate Committees on Health and Human Services, which highlights the potential impacts of federal funding cuts on the nonprofit sector and the communities we serve here.
