Join us as we extend a warm welcome to our new Volunteer Engagement Manager, Max Jansen! In his role, Max will be a driving force behind volunteerism, recruiting dedicated volunteers, and forging strategic partnerships that revolve around all things volunteerism.
Max’s passion for our mission is truly inspiring. He expressed, “I was drawn to the comprehensiveness of our mission. We make a positive impact on the lives of young people, adults, and those facing crises, reaching a diverse range of individuals within Las Vegas. I knew right away that I wanted to be part of this amazing work, benefiting our community.”
When visiting Las Vegas, Max recommends experiencing the enchanting Fountains of Bellagio – an iconic, must-see attraction that captivates both tourists and locals alike.
Moreover, one of Max’s favorite moments in Las Vegas history occurred in January 2020, when RuPaul’s Drag Race had its own live show on the Strip. He considers this moment to be of great significance, as it symbolizes the empowerment of the LGBTQIA+ community and highlights the influence of drag artists in the zeitgeist.
Let’s give a warm welcome to Max and look forward to making a difference together! Learn how you can give back to our community with our Community Volunteer Engagement team at uwsn.org/volunteer.
