We would like to introduce Terri Wright, our Early Education Specialist! In her role, she supports UWSN’s partner program, Nevada Ready! State Pre-K program, which helps teachers ensure they can provide high quality education to children in our community by training teachers and providing school supplies. Terri also supports our partner program, Neighborhood Network, who supports 73% of families with Pre-K children in Clark County by training and supporting early education providers. Learn more about Terri by reading our interview with her below.
Please share with us a memory of your time working with UWSN?
One of my favorite memories is when the NR!PK teachers visit each other’s classrooms and gain new ideas from each other. The collaboration they are able to have would not be possible without our grant, and that is something to celebrate!
What is one thing everyone must do when they visit Las Vegas?
One thing everyone must do when visiting Las Vegas is enjoy themselves. We have something for everyone!
What is your favorite moment from Las Vegas History?
My favorite moment from Las Vegas history is when Jerry Tarkanian led UNLV to the NCAA Division I tournament Championship in 1990. It was my first time attending a championship game and the energy was amazing!
