65th Anniversary Team UWSN Spotlight | Ana Valero Prado

Join us as we wish farewell to Ana Valero, our Marketing Intern! Throughout her internship, Ana was able to develop her skills for her future career as she helped us with our social media content strategy, digital communications, and public relations efforts. During her internship, Ana had the opportunity to attend site visits and community events.

One of her favorite moments was attending a site visit to one of J4NG classrooms where our CEO Julian High presented to students from our funded program. Ana told us it was inspiring seeing Julian’s passion as he talked with the students. However, this visit was exceptionally meaningful to Ana because she once sat in a J4NG classroom when she was in high school.

Ana said, “It was really motivating and inspiring to realize that as I am working to achieve my career goals, I am giving back to the program that helped me get where I am today.”

What is your favorite moment from Las Vegas History?

I don’t know much about Las Vegas history because I did not grow up here, but I do remember the opening of the Linq Promenade in 2014!

What is one thing everyone must do when they visit Las Vegas?

Visit Red Rock Canyon, my favorite and most recommended hike there is Calico Tank Trail. Las Vegas has so much more to offer than the Strip, I think everyone should enjoy the beautiful outdoors surrounding valley!

What moment in Las Vegas History has UWSN been supporting the community since?
We’ve been doing this since 1957 – before Elvis had his hit ‘Viva Las Vegas’
