UNITED WAY OF SOUTHERN NEVADA RECEIVES $35,000 GRANT FROM U.S. BANK FOUNDATION

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (August 2, 2024) – United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN), a nonprofit organization that unites the community to improve people’s lives, announced it has received a $35,000 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation. The grant will be used to support ongoing work focused on providing access to housing, rehousing, and career development programs for residents experiencing low income in Southern Nevada.

“Creating equitable opportunities for our community requires resources, and we appreciate the support from the U.S. Bank Foundation. This grant will allow us to continue building and expanding the innovative programs we’re proud to support in Southern Nevada,” said Samuel Rudd, UWSN COO/CFO. “Through the Community Possible grant, UWSN will continue our work of providing housing and employment pathways to those who need it most in our community.”

UWSN supports and provides access to programs that help students reach their potential, ensure there are pathways into the workforce, and help people avoid crises and maintain household stability. “Supporting a dynamic workforce and creating access to affordable housing is an investment in today and our future. We’re proud to work with organizations like United Way of Southern Nevada to help people to succeed in their careers and build thriving communities,” said Arturo Pérez, community affairs manager at U.S. Bank.
