UNITED WAY OF SOUTHERN NEVADA CELEBRATES NATIONAL VOLUNTEER MONTH WITH VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON

LAS VEGAS (April 26, 2024) – Yesterday, United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) held their Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at their Las Vegas office. UWSN volunteers gathered to celebrate their notable contributions over the past year including committing almost 5,000 volunteer hours to support individuals and families throughout the community. The event provided an opportunity for guests to gather and engage with likeminded volunteers.

Attendees were treated to lunch and motivational messages from Morris Jackson, Chair of the UWSN Community Volunteer Engagement Committee, Samuel Rudd, UWSN’s COO/CFO, Savanna Sibley, UWSN’s Director of Volunteer Engagement, and Maximillian Jansen, UWSN’s Volunteer Engagement Manager. The afternoon was filled with inspiration, highlighting the pivotal role of leadership, volunteerism and collaboration in the Southern Nevada community.

United Way of Southern Nevada allows volunteers to give where they live amongst numerous nonprofit partners that help solve many problems in the community.

UWSN’s Volunteer Connect platform boasts a network of more than 6,000 volunteers and 247 nonprofits.
