There are some people who are always there when you need a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear, and Marlein Sayegh is one of those people. With a friendly, generous spirit and a heart of gold, those who know her describe her as a good friend.
Another description of Marlein is loyal. A proud CenturyLink employee who has dedicated over 23 years of her life to the company, Marlein describes her job as fast-paced with opportunities to continually learn new things.
With a thirst for traveling, Marlein has sampled the local wonders of hiking in Mt. Charleston and Zion National Park, and recently made an adventurous solo trek to Colorado to celebrate her birthday.
“In my spare time I like to travel to new places and visit my family in Southern California,” said Marlein.
She grew up on the opposite side of the United States in Yonkers, New York and moved with her parents, brother and sister to Las Vegas in1981. Although the Valley sports a completely different climate and culture, Marlein is proud to call it home and recently purchased her first home.
“I am enjoying decorating it and entertaining friends and family,” said Marlein.
The College of Southern Nevada graduate believes that she is making an educated decision by supporting United Way.
“I believe in helping others,” said Marlein. “United Way is the best conveyor of my dollars, and I trust United Way of Southern Nevada to make the best choices for my community.”
