Deloitte has aligned with United Way for more than 25 years to help maximize its impact in the community. United Way shares Deloitte’s commitment to driving outcomes.

“As a native of Las Vegas and a part of the Deloitte Las Vegas office for over 25 years, I have seen the consistent support that United Way provides to this community,” said Jeffrey Ortwein, Director, Deloitte. “Deloitte is proud of its partnership with the United Way both locally and nationally.”

Through the years, Deloitte’s United Way support has taken many forms. In 2012, Deloitte’s annual workplace campaign raised $12.7 million and had more donors at the Tocqueville level than any other company nationwide for the eleventh consecutive year. The company also actively volunteers in the community, both on IMPACT Day, which is a national Deloitte single day of community service, and year-round.

Deloitte has a strong commitment to supporting the local communities in which its over 145 professionals live and work.  The company has invested in Nevada through community leadership in various business, civic, and charitable organizations.  Deloitte’s community involvement programs in Nevada include Junior Achievement, Salvation Army (food drives and Christmas Angels program), Three Square Food Bank and YMCA of Southern Nevada.

On a national level, more than 40 Deloitte partners, principals, and directors are involved as United Way board members.  Barry Salzberg, Deloitte’s global CEO, serves as Chair of the United Way Worldwide Board.  Locally, partners, directors and employees serve on the boards of various charitable organizations.
